Jordan Stickler

4x Academic All Conference, 3x All Conference, 2nd Place NCAA Steals in 2019, NCAA All American, 3rd Team D3Baseball All-West Region in 2017
During Stickler’s collegiate baseball career, he played in 135 career games. He compiled 114 hits of which he reached base safely via a hit, walk, or hit by pitch in 57 straight games as well as having nine doubles, two triples, one homerun, 33 RBI’s, and 128 runs. And, Jordan played for two summers on the Western Canadian Collegiate Baseball League.
Now, Jordan is sharing his love of baseball by starting and owning STYX Baseball Academy. All lessons are given by current and former collegiate baseball players who are looking to share their knowledge with the young aspiring baseball players of the DFW community.

Luciano Villanueva

Luciano Villanueva played for the University of Dallas Baseball Team from 2011-2016. Luciano played all 9 positions throughout his career at UD, including all 9 in one game his senior year. His best hitting campaign was junior year being a .322 with 4 homeruns. During his senior year, Luciano completed 2 game shutouts on the mound. He played and started in 36 games with 129 at-bats. Of those 129 at-bats, Luciano etched a total of 32 hits, three doubles, 13 RBI, nine walks, and three hit by pitches. His longest hitting streak was eight straight games. As a pitcher, Luciano started seven of the nine appearances on the mound. He hurled three complete games and earned the winning decision in each one. Luciano threw a total of 39.2 innings and led the club with an ERA of 2.95. He was awarded two SCAC Pitcher of the Week Honors for both nine-inning complete games that resulted in zero earned runs surrendered. Luciano earned Team MVP both junior and senior year as well as All-SCAC Second Team (Pitcher) senior year.

George Clahane
Pitching Instructor
George Clahane is a local University of Dallas pitcher that has been around success. His high school team at Fort Worth Christian finished 3rd in the Tapps state finals. George is also an alumni of the Dallas Patriots where his team was ranked 18th in the nation. In his freshman season at the University of Dallas he was name to the honor roll. George brings a unique opportunity to the kids as he implants drills from his weight room m that helps translate to the field. George is currently the head pitching instructor for Styx Baseball Academy and teaches youth hitting as well.

Ross Lowe

All-American and All-Conference Team in 2021
Ross Lowe is a Catcher and Professional Baseball Player from Hebron, TX. Ross played professionally in Belgium for the MSG Phoenix during the 2021 season where he hit 5 HR’s. During his college career, he attended North Central Texas College, Southeast CC, UT-Rio Grande Valley & University of Dallas. Starting catcher two years at University of Dallas. Posted .345/.467/.548 slash line in 2021 season. Led team in batting average, OPB, SLG. Received All-American recognition and voted to the All-Conference Team. Threw out would-be base-stealers at a 22% rate. Ross batted .315/.451/.584 with 6 HR’s in second junior-college season at SCC. Ross attended Hebron HS, graduated in 2015 and lettered 3 years on Varsity. Ross offers specialized training for catchers and hitters.

Joe Vondrachek

Joe Vondrachek played infield at the University of Dallas from 2018 - 2021. During that time, he played over 100 games, totaling 339 at bats and 95 hits. Joe was named 1st Team All-SCAC his senior year after hitting .322 and scoring 34 runs through a 30 game season, stealing 29 bags, which, by the close of UD’s last game, was tied for 2nd in the NCAA, ending at 6th nationally by the end of the year. Joe hails from North St. Paul, Minnesota and attended St. Croix Preparatory Academy.

Nick Hovde

4x USCAA National All-Academic Team, Helen L. Corbitt Award for Excellence in 2020, SCAC All-Sportsmanship Team in 2020, SCAC Character and Community Award in 2020
Nicolas Hovde played outfield at the University of Dallas from 2017-2021. He played in 68 games, tallying over 125 at bats and logging 25 hits, including 4 doubles, 2 triples, 2 walk off game-winners, and one home run. The first walk-off win came Nick’s freshman year where he punched a game-tying triple in a two-out rally and etched the game-winning run to complete an eight-run comeback against Dallas Christian College. The second walk-off was in Nick’s final season and came in conference play against Texas Lutheran University in which he singled to center to bring in the winning run. Nick was also elected by his teammates to be a captain his senior year and led the team in on-base percentage that season (.482).
Nick is a 4x USCAA National All-Academic Team member, was selected as the Helen L. Corbitt Award for Excellence winner for the University of Dallas graduating class of 2020, named to the 2020 SCAC All-Sportsmanship Team, and was awarded the SCAC Character and Community Award in 2020. Nick hails from Waco, Texas, and attended Reicher Catholic High School.

Derek Trevino was a 4yr varsity letterman at Orange Grove High School, 2006 All-District pitcher, 2017 District 21-4a pre-season players to watch, 2018 regional semifinalist, 2018 second team all district outfield. In college he played 4 yrs at the University of Dallas, 2020 academic all SCAC, played summer ball in 2019 for the Yorkton Cardinals in the Western Canadian Baseball League.

During Conrad’s collegiate career he pitched 256.1 innings. His best season 2019 went 8-4 earning 1st team All SCAC nod. Playing for the Niagara Power finished his summer season going 6-1, 50.1 innings pitched, 35 K’s, 5 BB, 2.68 ERA. Finishing the 2018 summer with Battle Creek going 3-0. With Traverse City going 4-2 primarily out of the pen pitching 37.2 innings with a 3.10 ERA, in the effort to win the Championship. Now Conrad is the primary pitching coach with STYX Baseball Academy helping pitchers through my personal experiences while playing and the information learned being a pitching coach with 108
Performance Academy. Helping any pitcher get better in the DFW community.

Joe Griesbauer played 4 years at the University of Dallas as a catcher, DH, and outfielder. Senior season he started 25 games in the outfield and posted an average of .255. Joe’s done some coaching with his younger brother’s teams and knows the game of baseball quite well.
